Il Club Modellistico Genova Est nasce nel 1971, precorrendo e stimolando la diffusione dell'hobby modellistico. La prima sede era situata in via delle Ginestre, nel quartiere di Staglieno, in prossimita' dello svincolo autostradale, al quale si riferi' per il nome del Club. Nel tempo l'ingresso di nuove forze ci ha portato nel 1980 alla realizzazione della " Biennale di modellismo", svoltasi nei saloni del prestigioso palazzo Ducale e la biennale "Tutto in scala '97" organizzata nelle antiche sale del convento di Albaro; manifestazioni che hanno ottenuto notevole consenso di partecipanti e visitatori. Il Club Modellistico Genova Est, pur favorendo sempre e comunque tutte le categorie di modellismo, rappresentate dai suoi iscritti, ha maturato una specializzazione nel settore dei " MEZZI MILITARI ", grazie anche alla presenza costante e fondamentale di Enzo Tinagli, socio fondatore, che ha fatto da maestro a tutti i carristi del Club, insegnandoci l'arte del modellismo.
The East Genoa Model Club was born back in 1971, paving the way and stimulating growth for the hobby of model building. The Club's original site was in via delle Ginestre, in the Staglieno section of Genoa, near the East Genoa highway exit, from which the club got its name. In time, the growth of the Club, strengthened by the partecipation of new members, led to the organization of the "Biennale di Modellismo" -Biennal Model Show-, which was held in 1980 in Genoa's prestigious Palazzo Ducale and the "Tutto in scala '97" -Everything in scale '97- show held in the old halls of the Albaro monastery. Both shows were hugely successful, with strong member partecipation and high visitor attendance. While encouraging all types of model making involving its members, the East Genoa Model Club has developed a specialization in the field of military models, thanks to the constant presence and attention of Enzo Tinagli, one of the founding members, who through his experience and skill has teached the art of model building to all Club members.
